This recipe is from my amma .She makes this vadas with sambar and rice,not even a side dish you can have these vadas as a snack or a starter
INGRDIENTS:-
raw banana--1no
greenchillis--4no.s
ginger---1inch peace
cumin seeds-1teasp
fried chana--2tebsps[putnalu,porikadali]
salt to taste
oil for frying
METHOD:-
cut and steam cook raw banana and peal off and mash nit well
make a powder with fried chana,cumin, ginger,green chillis and add this powder to mashed banana and salt [if you like you can add alittle garam masala that is 1/2teasp]
mix well with hands and make small vadas[like aloo tikki] and deep fry them in hot oil till golden brown colour and serve hot
This makes 8-10 vadas
