DON DAKAYA--TINDLI--TINDORA--INDIAN IVYGOURD--GERKINS--TINDLI
This small green lovely vegetable is all time favouyite in my home specialy my husband and me too and easly available in India all out the year but i dont no why some people dont like this tastey vegetable
This recipe is form my amma, amma makes this curry with some pappu like dosakaya[andhra cucumber] or tomato pappu.When ever she prepares this curry full house will be cover with the aroma
Hear is the recipe from my ammas kitchen
a few curry leaves
3-4-red chillies broken in to peaces
1tesp -red chilli powder
for coarse paste:-
1medium onion-cut in to peaces
1tebsp-fresh greated cocnut ground in to a coarse paste with a little water
1.wash tindora and nip the tip and tail and cut in to lenth wise peaces,each gourd will cut in to 6 long peaces.
2.cook them in 1/2cup water and turmeric,salt to taste cook till tender.
3. heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds let mustard seeds pop up then add cumin seeds,uard dal,curry leaves now add cooked tindora stir for 5 minuites
4. after 5minutes add ground masala stir for 3-4 minutes or fry till aroma comes out
serve hot with plain rice and dal
