Chicken --- 800 gms
yogurt --- 1/2 cup
Green chili paste 2 tea sp (according to your taste or you can just remove also)
Garlic paste --- 2 tea sp
Ginger paste --- 2 tea sp
Coriander powder ---1 tea sp
Turmeric powder -- 1/2 tea sp
Red chili powder --- 1 tea sp (according to your taste)
Salt to taste
Ground nutmeg ---1/2 tea sp
Cloves --- 4
Cinnamon --2 inch stick
Cardamom ---4 (if possible use black cardamom that give a nice aroma)
Afew mint leaves
Tomatoes --- 4 no. finely chopped (or you can use puree also)
Onion --- 2 medium sliced
In a bowl whisk three-fourth of yogurt, green chili paste, 1 tea sp ginger paste, 1 tea sp garlic paste and salt .
Now rub this on the chicken pieces marinate for 1 hour (cover and leave it in the fridge.
Heat oil in apan add clove, cardamom, cinnamon and let them popup then add sliced onion and fry till golde brown, and add remaining ginger paste , garlic paste and stir for 2 more min. .
Now add the marinated chicken and stir in a high heat for 2 min, stirring constantly. Now lower the heat cover the pan and leave for another 3 min.
whisk the remaining yogurt and add it to the chicken and cook for 2 more min.
Then add chopped (or pureed )tomatoes and cook till tomato become soft mix well. check the salt and season
Sprinkle chopped mint leaves and nutmeg powder stir once and remove from fire
If you want can add garam masala powder that time remove netmeg powder but nutmeg powder will give a original taste and aroma
This curry will be a good combo with Tandoori roti can also have with plain rice.
