AWEEKEND LUNCH WITH CHICKEN BIRIYANI

FOR CHICKEN BIRIYANI:------
Chicken ---- 1/2 kg (500 gms)cut in to small pieces
Basmati rice --- 2 cup s(iuse that rice cooker cup)
Onion --- 1 medium sliced
Green chilies --- 3 slit
Cinamon --- 1 inch pieces 2no.
Cloves --- 4 no.
cardamom --- 4no.
Milk --- 11/2 cup
Saffron --- 1/4 tea sp
Water --- 2 cups
Salt to taste
Lemon juice --- 1 tab sp
Ghee ---- 1 tab sp or oil 1 tab sp(or you can mix both ghee and oil 1/2 and 1/2 )
Ginger garlic paste ---- 1 tea sp

METHOD:-----
Wash and soak rice in 2 cups water for 10 min.
Wash chicken and add lemon juice and a 1/4 tea sp salt marinate well and leave a side for 1/2 hour
Add saffron to the milk and leave a side
Now heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add clove,cinamon, cardamom and let them popup then add sliced onion and green chilies and fry till onion become light brown color.
Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for few sec.then add chicken pieces cover and cook for 5 min stir in between.
after 5min. add rice with water and milk and salt mix well cover with lid and cook till 2 whistles.
Remove and let it cool itself then open the lid and mix well.
Serve hot with raita I served this with onion raita and chicken tikka.
