CORN IDLI

Corn meal ---- 1 1/2 cup
Sour curd ---- 1/2 cup
Corn kernels -- 1/4 cup
Green peas --- 1/4 cup
ginger --- 1/2 inch piece chopped
Green chilies --- 4 chopped
Eno fruit salt --- 1 tea sp
Cumin seeds --- 1/ 2 tea sp
a few curry leaves chopped
Oil --- 1 tea sp
Salt to taste
METHOD:----
Heat oil in a fry pan add cumin seeds let them popup then add chopped ginger and green chilies, curry leaves and switch off the heat and add corn meal stir once and let it cool.
Now add curd, corn kernels, green peas, salt to taste, eno fruit salt mix well and leave for 2 min.
In the same time heat water in a idli cooker and grease idli plates.
Now mix batter and pour batter in idli moulds and place idli plates in idli cooker and steem for 8 min.
Remove from idli cooker and serve hot with green chutney
I like this idli s only with green chutney you can serve with any other chutney you like.enjoy these idlies when they are hot.

wowow... ijust bought some cornmeal and have been eating 1 makkai roti almost everyday - this is such a great idea!!!!
