LEFTOVER RICE PAKODI


Left over rice --- 1 cup (cookedleftover rice. pazayasadam, migilina annam )

Chick pea flour---- 1 tab sp

Ginger and green chili paste --- 1 tea sp

Coriander powder -- 1 tea sp freshly ground (coarsely powdered)

Salt to taste

Onion -- 1 big sliced

coriander and curry leaves --- 1 tab sp chopped

Oil for deep frying

METHOD:---

Grind 1 cup leftover rice in a blender or mixe in to a smooth paste.Remove rice paste in to a mixing bowl

Add all other ingredients to rice paste and mix well with hand.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and drop small balls out of the rice mixture( don't worry about the shape) stright in to the hot oil and fry till nice golden color fry pakodas in a high flame.

Remove from oil and place them on a kitchen towel to remove extra oil.

serve hot with any sauce or green chutney as a snack

or with any hot soup.

For ginger and green chili paste

1 cup chopped ginger

6-8 green chilies cut in to small pieces

Grind these two with a little salt and store it in a bottle in the fridge this will stay for 1 week after that also it will stay but taste will decrease

Enjoy your snack.

I made this once and loved it..but I fried it without the chick pea flour..looks yummy..

Crispy pakodas looks yummy..i prepare the same way too but with few grated veggies..
